OUR MISSION

The mission of the UW-Madison Comprehensive Diabetes Center is to strengthen and bring together our exceptional research programs, provide world-class education in diabetes to clinical and research trainees, to clinical and research faculty and to the community, and support outstanding clinical care.

OUR GOALS

  • Build a community around those with interests in diabetes and related diseases and encourage researchers to investigate the connection to diabetes in their own work.
  • Enhance educational and enrichment opportunities for UW-Madison students, employees, and faculty.
  • Foster an environment that is collaborative and multi-disciplinary in nature to establish innovative research cores that serve all center members and develop a competitive niche for the NIH’s NIDDK P30 Diabetes Research Center core grant as well as other philanthropic support.
