About

Mission

The mission of the UW-Madison Comprehensive Diabetes Center is to strengthen and bring together our exceptional research programs, provide world-class education in diabetes to clinical and research trainees, faculty, and the community, and support outstanding clinical care.

Core Goals

Community Building: We aim to build a robust community around those with interests in diabetes and related diseases, encouraging researchers to investigate the connection to diabetes within their own specialized work.

Educational Enrichment: We strive to enhance educational and professional enrichment opportunities for all UW-Madison students, employees, and faculty members.

Collaborative Environment: Our center fosters a multi-disciplinary environment designed to establish innovative research cores. These cores serve all center members and help develop a competitive niche for the NIH’s NIDDK P30 Diabetes Research Center core grant and other vital philanthropic support.
