My lab is very interested in understanding the fundamental mechanisms governing dynamic metabolic regulation. We quantitively study how metabolism is rewired during physiological transitions (particularly during the activation of innate immune cells), or in pathological conditions (particularly in cancer), using metabolomics, lipidomics and isotopic tracing based-metabolic flux analysis. We also investigate the molecular mechanisms driving the key metabolic transitions in these conditions by targeted biochemical and genetic approaches, and investigate the biological significance of such metabolic alterations. We are open to collaborations on diabetes or other projects related to dynamic metabolic regulation.
